WHAT’S NEARBY?
For beaches, we’re spoilt for choice. Marros Mountain is located just 1.2 miles from Marros Sands, where you can enjoy seclusion and calm (as well as the petrified forest) at one of Carmarthenshire’s ‘hidden gems’.
If you fancy something a bit more lively, we’re also only a couple of miles from the popular seaside villages of Pendine and Amroth, where you can grab a bite to eat and an ice cream before heading to the beach.
You’ll also have great access to the world-renowned Pembrokeshire Coast Path, from which we are based just 2 miles from the starting point.
If that’s not enough, we’re also just up the road from two of Wales’ most popular destinations in Saundersfoot and Tenby, which you can reach by catching the bus from right on our doorstep!
COAST
‘Locals Guide’ to the coast
Whilst the beaches and coastline get all the glory, there’s still plenty more to see for those without their sea legs.
Marros Mountain is nestled in the heart of the countryside, right on the border between Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, and has woodland, farmland and the coastline all within eyeshot.
If you don’t fancy leaving the safe haven of the mountain, there’s even a country path that passes right past our door and leads you to the beautiful Coed Marros Woods - one of many countryside walks that take you through the rolling hills and winding rivers that west Wales is famous for.
If you’re one of those brave/crazy individuals taking part in Ironman Wales, we’re also ideally located for those wishing to get some practice in on the course before the big day.

CULTURE
This part of Wales is rich in culture, history and tradition.
The township of Laugharne is only up the road from us, most famous for being the home of poet Dylan Thomas and his Boathouse and Writing Shed.
There’s also the historical coal-mining harbour village of Saundersfoot, the seaside walled town of Tenby, traditional market town of Narberth, and Pembroke Castle, the birthplace of Henry VII.
If you’re a fan of castles, Carmarthenshire has some to compete with the very best. Two nearby are Llansteffan and Kidwelly, on either side of the Taf Estuary.
